Team SMG Acquires Ninjaboogie After Releasing Roddgeee

Team SMG decided to make big moves in just two days!

MidOne’s team, on Monday, February 21, announced that they were parting ways with Roddgeee. Roger “Roddgeee” Tan Boon is SMG’s position five player who helped the team in their DPC run.

The team, through a tweet, announced the team’s gratitude for Roger’s contributions to the team. This decision followed just a few days after the conclusion of DPC SEA 2021-22 Regional Finals.

“We would like to thank @roddgeee for all his hard work and dedication for Team SMG during our time together,” the team told.

Following the announcement, Roddgeee outlined his credentials and told him that he’s already open to joining other teams.

Team SMG Changes: Roddgeee Out, Ninjaboogie In

On the other hand, the team surprised fans by announcing that they already acquired Ninjaboogie just a day after bidding farewell with Roger.

In a Facebook post, Team SMG announced that they will be continuing their journey with Michael “Ninjaboogie” Ross Jr.

Early in 2021, SMG has already been working with Ninjaboogie. The veteran Filipino player played with the team as a position five player. Continuing his career, Ninjaboogie played with the team during their DPC 2021 run which resulted in a disappointing performance.

Michael parted ways with the team because of their lackluster performance during the DPC.

Right now, the team is already preparing for the second tour of this year’s DPC. In the meantime, teams are expected to sit tight until the final list for Tour 2 of DPC gets announced. Said tour is expected to commence on March 14.
