Virtus Pro’s GPK Selling 11k MMR Account For $17 K?

Virtus Pro player GPK was accused of selling his smurf account with 11,000 MMR for 15,000 Euros. The evidence is incriminating.

Virtus Pro’s mid laner Danil “gpk” Skutin was accused of selling accounts in a Reddit thread. The creator of the thread included a lot of evidence, such as a Dotabuff link, and even the Steam link of the account that was sold. Even more damning evidence comes from the person who bought his ID, because he streamed all his games that were at high MMR.

The buyer ID (werdex) in his stream on wasd.tv stated that he bought 2 accounts. 1 Account he bought from .Ark, a former EXTREMUM player, with MMR 9,500 for 4,000 Euros. As for the gpk ID with MMR 11,000, he said that the price was in the range of 10,000 – 15,000 Euros from gpk. This is proven by the ID statistics in Dota2ProTracker. After he bought his ID, he suffered a losing streak.

Another serious accusation came from one of the ID sellers himself, which is .Ark in his tweet. He said that:

“VP is the symbol of Russian esports. I don’t mean to slander or insult others in pursuit of hype, below will be screenshots of e.ke. facts – believe it or not, you decide and draw your own conclusions. @virtuspro”

Then, the screenshot provides details that DM, one of the VP players who plays in offlane, said that Valve will not punish VP because they have connections with Valve. They will only punish .Ark as a sacrifice, while GPK and DM will not be subject to any punishment.

VP immediately responded with their own investigation into these allegations. They also asked the community to analyze the anonymous tip first and check the facts. However, with the damning evidence against them, it looks like the days ahead will be full of confirmation and drama from the CIS Dota 2 scene.
