Dota 2, after achieving the record for the most views at TI10, will be welcoming a new organization, Talon Esports, famous in LoL and OW.
Dota 2 players who also like watching other games like LoL and OW might be familiar with the organization. They are a very successful Esports team in both games. Talon Esports is the perennial champion for PCS (Pacific Champsionship Series), the LoL championship for Southeast Asia. Of course, with this history of success, there is a lot of hype saying that they will become the new big team in the SEA Dota 2 scene.
The news came from Dimitri “GodBlessMali” Vallette, a well-known esports figure in Dota 2. He is well-versed in the Asian Dota 2 scene, and was even a part of the PSG.LGD team during TI8. According to him, Talon Esports will create a Dota 2 team based on the Philippines, and they have hired people to do the talent scouting.
Reddit Dota 2 also seems to confirm the news. Several SEA Dota 2 analysts also confirmed this. One of them is Danog, Analyst and Caster for the SEA and Australian Dota 2 scenes. With these seemingly strong confirmation, it seems that Talon Esports will be the latest team to make the SEA Dota 2 scene more competitive.
