Jingjun “Sneyking” Wu revealed in an interview that The International 8 (TI8) was the best tournament.

Tundra Esports’ support player has been in the scene in 2012 with Team Dignitas. His career drove him to over 20 teams and reached TI 8 with VGJ.Storm.

While the team was favored by fans, the VGJ.Storm faced disappointment after quickly falling in round 3 of the lower bracket.

According to the player, his TI 8 shot was the closest he could get to the Aegis. However, the outcome was far from what they were expecting.

Sneyking, Team, Failed to Acknowledge Flaws

Sneyking mentioned that there were a lot of issues within the team that they were unable to address. He said that there were flaws about him and the team which they did not acknowledge.

TI where OG won their first TI (best Dota 2 event ever attended). I believe that was TI8, right? Yeah, that was TI8. During that year, we were the top seed of the tournament and we were the favorite to win but then we kinda came down crashing,” he said.

We only got 7th-8th at the event, we lost to Team Secret and it was a pretty big blow because we had high expectations going in, we were feeling really great but then it all came down to reality really quickly that there were some flaws and problems about myself and my team that we did not figure or had not acknowledged at the time,” he added.

His squad qualified through the NA qualifiers for TI 8. The team sat ahead of Virtus.pro and Team Secret in group B.

While they had a fierce run at the qualifiers, the team failed to replicate the same fire in the biggest tournament.
