Tims now holds a title with OB Neon while being a TNC!
The dominant OB Neon has emerged as the best among numerous SEA teams in PNXBET Invitationals Southeast Asia Season 2.
OB Neon met with Motivate Trust Gaming in the grand finals and managed to drag the series to 5 games.
The series’ long fight ended with Neon taking the crown, 3-2.
Neon’s midlaner Erin Jasper “Yopaj” Ferrer took home the MVP award after delivering for the team especially in games 3 and 5.
Ahead of the tournament, Neon had massive changes with its roster where Rolen Andrei Gabriel “skem” Ong took over the carry role.
Meanwhile, the biggest surprise for Neon is their stand-in, Timothy John “Tims” Randrup who played his comfort role.
Motivate Trust Gaming looked fearsome as early as game one after the team managed to out-draft Neon and take the win in 41 mins.
The second game of the series was a direct turnaround after Yopaj unleashed his monster within. The midlaner took over the game with his godlike 22-5-7 KDA stats.
The series’ game three was a quiet one at least until the minute-30 of the game. Skem’ unconventional Dragon Knight pick for safe lane required a long and dragging farming to deliver as a carry.
With his funneled farm, Skem emerged as an unkillable beast and ended the game in just 37 minutes.
Game four of the series was a replay of blood-bathing exchanges. Motivate managed to fight Neon equally in terms of exchanges during clashes.
After some multiple teamfights, Motivate managed to take a crucial clash to end the game in minute-42.
The last game of the series was just another show for Yopaj. Neon’s midlaner managed to get a perfect finish with 20-0-7 KDA ending the game in just 32 minutes.
With their win, Neon took home $5,000 USD with their first-place finish. Motivate Trust Gaming on the other hand took home roughly $3,000 USD.
