Macaroni 85 names his newborn son HTML, as if his name isn’t weird enough.

The internet expressed their anger after parents name gave their newborn children weird names, saying they subject their children to bullying.

In Sta. Maria, Bulacan, a province in the Philippines, parents named their newborn son Hypertext Markup Language or HTML. The child’s name is in reference to his father’s work as a web developer.

The father had a fair share of weird name for he was legally named Macaroni 85.

Most netizens expressed their anger and frustration on social media. Netizens said that the parents are already subjecting their son to bullying.

“Looks like the parents already lost their minds. It is their sole prerogative to name their child but the basic tenet of responsible child-bearing is to decide for the best interests of the child,” one commenter said.

“I hope there will be a law to change a person’s legal name upon attaining the age of majority or after emancipation. Give the Civil Registry Office the power to deny birth registration with unusual names,” he added.

“A child’s worst nightmare is to have parents who crave for attention. Worst is that they use their child to give them that,” one netizen said.

One netizen even gave an advise to future parents.

“Those who will become parents: please don’t play with your child’s name because you’re not the one to get bullied in the future,” she said.

“My brother really wanted that name because he is a web developer. He wanted something related to his profession, Macaroni’s sister Sincerely Yours said in an interview.

“My sister Spaghetti argued to not name the child that way, but my brother still pushed for it,” she added.
