Your city could be the host for Dota 2's TI11

DPC Season 2 has already started, and big teams are already clashing their way to the top to get crucial DPC points to qualify for The International!

This time, however, big names are missing in the league which includes Sccc, Sumail, W33, GeneRaL, and Ppd– names who are either salty or no longer relevant in today’s competitive meta.

SumaiL Leaves Quincy Crew after Summit 11 NA Quals

Syed Sumail “SumaiL” Hassan

Sumail’s comeback has always been a topic for fans, especially that his brother YawaR performed well during the Singapore Major with his team Quincy Crew. Sumail, TI5 champion, was last seen playing with Just Error in late 2020. Sumail was unheard of since then. Rumours however came out early January saying that the player came in late to register his new team for the first DPC season, although this never materialized.

Sumail has never found another stable home since he left Evil Geniuses after their TI9 run.

Despite running through multiple ranked game grinds, Sumail remains inactive even on his social media pages. Considering having a competitive resume, it looks like teams are no longer interested in having Sumail for his salty plays in his recent tournaments.

Dota 2: Team Liquid Adds w33 Ahead of EPICENTER

Aliwi “w33” Omar

W33 faced perhaps the saddest story this season as the player got sidelined by team Nigma following their early exit in the Singapore Major where they finished last. W33’s story as midlaner with team Nigma never clicked since he joined the squad in TI9.

Team Secret’s perfect run had affected the team even more, rendering more questions over their potential.

While w33 sits on the bench of Nigma, he is given the opportunity to look into other options where he can find another home.

Sccc on plans for when his Dota 2 career is over: “I'll return to the

Song “Sccc” Chun

Sccc had his breakthrough in TI7 where he had several power performances now looks like he’s no longer part of the scene. Chun is out of the scene for three months now, and has never had any big break after he parted ways with Newbee, team where he became the main player, after TI9. Sccc has had his stints with Team Aster for a year, and another brief time with EHOME whom he left few days before the first season started.

Although he seems on a break from the pro-scene, Sccc is enjoying his time playing in pub games, and is streaming through China’s streaming platform, Huya.

ARE THEY COMING BACK?

These players have had their big breaks in the pro-scene as their names marked different, yet similarly great stories that the fans will forever remember.

Despite being out of the scene, do you expect these players to be back in action anytime soon?
