23savage Gets Redemption as Talon Ends Gaimin Gladiators’ Dominance

Talon Esports secured a top-three finish in the ongoing Riyadh Masters 2023 after ending the Gaimin Gladiators’ streak of dominance via a 2-1 win in the lower bracket semifinals, Saturday at the Riyadh Boulevard City.

It was a fitting redemption for Talon Esports carry Nuengnara “23savage” Teeramahanon, who celebrated early in their crucial Game 3 loss to Team Liquid in the upper bracket semifinals which saw they lost via a stunning base race against Ludwig “zai” Wåhlberg.

Unfortunately, it was not enough as Mikoto’s Snapfired proved to be too much for Gaimin Gladiators in Game 3. Talon Esports completed its ascent up to the lower bracket finals with a 30-11 win in 52 minutes.

The Indonesian mid laner continued to seize the spotlight, scoring a clean 10-1-11 KDA.

Prior to the win against Gaimin Gladiators, Team Talon had to eliminate 9Pandas via sweep, 2-0, in the lower bracket quarterfinals.

Talon Esports will next face Team Liquid – the team that sent them down the lower bracket – in the lower bracket finals later today.

On the other hand, Gaimin Gladiators’ streak of winning championships finally ended at five. They previously bagged the Lima Major, DreamLeague Season 19, Berlin Major, DreamLeague Season 20, and Bali Major titles, respectively.
