23savage is furious after Dota 2’s MMR recalibration, here’s why

Talon Esports’ Nuengnara “23savage” Teeramahanon couldn’t get a break.

In his Instagram yesterday, he revealed that he dropped to 9000 MMR from his original 12.5K MMR despite winning nine out of twelve games.

This is a massive drop considering that his MMR should have increased in the recalibration process.

He then posted a picture of a 200-rank medal with the caption “back to basic.”

This isn’t the first time that something like this happened to a pro player. Chinese pro player He “Inflame” Yongzheng also faced the same bug when he went from 8000 to 10 MMR.

This is a big blow to 23savage. Known for being one of the best SEA Dota 2 players, he rose to fame after becoming the first player to reach 12k MMR and 13K MMR.

While it’s unclear what happened, many assumed it was an in-game bug and that it will eventually be changed to a much higher number soon.
