Sister Teams Collide: ECHO Loud Takes on ECHO Proud in WCG Opener

It’s going to be ECHO Loud versus ECHO Proud in the opening round of the World Cyber Games 2023 as the sister squads are set to take on one another for the first upper bracket finals slot later in the day, Friday at the BEXCO in Busan, South Korea.

ECHO Loud is composed of the organization’s MPL squad such as Tristan “Yawi” Cabrera, Sanford “Sanford” Vinuya, Alston “Sanji” Pabico and the returning Benedict “Bennyqt” Gonzales and Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno.

Bennyqt and KarlTzy are set to play their first game back after deciding to take a break and skipping the Snapdragon Pro Series.

Meanwhile, ECHO Proud, the organization’s development squad, will consist of Justine “Zaida” Palma, Jaypee “Jaypee” Dela Cruz, Jhonville “OUTPLAYED” Villar, Jankurt “KurtTzy” Matira, and James “Jeymz” Gloria.

Over at the other side of the bracket, MDL Indonesia’s ONIC Overlord and EVOS Icon will battle it out for the second seat in the upper bracket finale.

The winner of the tournament will bring home $20,000 USD while the second-best team will bag $10,000 USD.
