Paper Rex will be in its full force when it flies to Los Angeles for the Valorant Champions 2023with all of their players already secured with their US Visas.

There were doubts about the participation of some of Paper Rex’s players heading into the tournament with Ilya “something” Petrov missing out on the teams’ third place finish at the VCT Master Tokyo.

Something joined the ranks of Paper Rex in March as part of the team’s ongoing efforts to enhance its roster midway through the season but couldn’t join the team in Tokyo due to the delays in securing his Japanese visa. That prompted Paper Rex to tap Patiphan “CigaretteS” Posri as stand-in.

CigaretteS did made a good account of himself and was pivotal to Paper Rex run but the team had to undergo major adjustments heading into the tournament after preparing with something part of the line up.

Something though seemed to have finally secured his US visa assuring that the team would be in its full potential when it faces some of the world’s best. He even made confirmation that he will participate in the tournament through a tweet on July 17.

VCT Champs takes place at the Shrine Auditorium and the Kia Forum (for the final four teams) with the tournament firing off on August 6 and will run until August 26. A total of sixteen teams, hailed as the best teams from around the globe will be participating in the crowning tournament of Valorant in the 2023 season.
