An intense 9-day competition among ten teams in the Asia Pacific region, the VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) Ascension Pacific is reaching its climax.

Bleed Esports and SCARZ battle one last time in a best-of-five series to get the right to become the VCT Ascension Pacific title and the coveted sport in the VCT Pacific League.

Bleed Esports, hailing from Singapore, secured their spot in the grand finals after a hard-fought victory over BOOM Esports from Indonesia, prevailing with a 2-1 scoreline on Saturday, July 9.

SCARZ, a Japanese team that emerged victorious in a thrilling encounter against NAOS Esports from the Philippines, also clinching a 2-1 victory on the same day.

Bleed Esports actually topped the Omega group and made quick work against Boom in the semifinals.

SCARZ on the other hand, dominated Fancy Esports United in the quarterfinals, 2-0, before marching into the semifinals.

As the representatives of the Japanese tier-two circuit, SCARZ entered the tournament with a formidable reputation. They had established themselves as a dominant force within their region, and their prowess translated into a triumphant victory in Split 2.

Throughout the tournament, standout performances were delivered by players like Savva “Kr1stal” Fedorov and Maxim “Jemkin” Batorov. The Russian duo showcased exceptional skills, ranking second and third respectively among the highest-rated players in the competition.

On the contrary, BLEED emerged as one of the initial frontrunners to secure victory in the tournament. Progressing from the Malaysian/Singapore Challengers to the grand finals of VCT Ascension Pacific 2023, they have showcased their resilience and determination. However, despite their impressive journey, the team has faced numerous closely contested matches, indicating that they are not invincible and can be challenged by their opponents.
