The decision follows the devastating passing of their VALORANT player, Karel “Twisten” Asenbrener, causing profound grief within the organization and the esports community.
“We can’t imagine anyone else playing in these last competitions of the season,” they wrote.
Recognizing the unprecedented sorrow, Team Vitality has chosen to end their VALORANT Champions Tour 2023 season out of respect for Twisten, his family, and the grieving players.
This withdrawal underscores the impact of personal loss on esports teams and individuals.
