End of an Era: RRQ Hoshi Parts Ways With Vyn

A partnership that produced numerous titles and made history in the MPL Indonesia scene officially parted ways last Saturday.

In a shocking turn of events, RRQ Hoshi announced the release of team captain Vyn from its Mobile Legends: Bang Bang roster.

“Calvin or RRQ VYN is one of the players with the longest tenure in Team RRQ. He has brought numerous trophies and achievements during his journey in raising RRQ’s name in the Mobile Legends scene,” opened RRQ Hoshi’s statement. 

“Today, we have to part ways with him, as he seeks new adventures. Thank you for your dedication and sacrifices all this time. May you find new success, Capt.”

Vyn has been an integral part of the RRQ Hoshi dynasty that dominated the MPL Indonesia for years. 

After a shaky start to his MPL career that saw him play for two teams in his first two seasons, Vyn was acquired by RRQ Hoshi in the MPL Philippines Season 4. During that year, he led the team to second place finishes in the MPL and the M1 World Championships.

He eventually steered the franchise to three MPL titles in Seasons 5, 6, and 9 as well as numerous podium finishes in the M-series and the MSC.

Vyn has yet to announce the next step in his storied MPL career.
