Astralis, one of the top esports organizations in the world, has announced changes to its Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) roster ahead of upcoming tournaments.

The team is adding a promising young talent, Alexander “Altekz” Givskov, to its main roster, while longtime player Andreas “Xyp9x” Højsleth will be stepping back to help the organization’s talent team.

In the press release, Xyp9x said he will use his extensive experience and knowledge to help the organization’s young players develop their skills and prepare for future tournaments.

“I am a team player, and even though I am now taking a break from the A team, I will always be ready to help the organization and the team that I have been a part of since the very beginning,” he said.

The changes will take effect immediately, with Xyp9x playing his first match for Astralis Talent on Wednesday, April 19, in the European Pro League, Season 7.

Meanwhile, Altekz will make his debut in the upcoming online tournament, Brazy Party 2023, which kicks off on April 27 and will feature competition from top teams like ENCE, BIG, OG, and Eternal Fire.
