Burmese Mobile Legends: Bang Bang stars Nainglin “ACE” Swe and Min “Dee” Khaung announced that they are retiring from the professional scene, Thursday.

Both ACE and Dee made their respective announcements on their social media pages.

“It’s time to retire after this. Thanks everyone for supporting me and I tried my best guys,” said Dee.

While Dee did not disclose the reason behind his sudden retirement, ACE, on the other hand, said that he needed a ‘health break’ after competing and living the professional player life for the last few years.

“First of all, I want to inform you that I am going to retire from ML:BB professional player life. I have always tried my best because I like to be competitive all the time I play. I think I got the best ones too,” said ACE.

“People talking bad about me when I win or lose doesn’t work for me but I think I need a health break,” he added.

ACE is considered as one of the most decorated players in Myanmar after winning four out of the five MPL Myanmar seasons with Burmese Ghouls. Dee, on the other hand, won back-to-back titles with the team in Seasons Four and Five.

Both players helped put Burmese ML:BB on the map after anchoring the team’s Cinderella campaign in the M2 World Championship where they lost to Filipino squad Bren Esports in the grand finals after seven grueling games. It was the highest placing that a Burmese team reached in ML:BB history.

After that, the ML:BB scene in Myanmar – just like every industry in the country – was put to a halt due to a political crisis.

Burmese Ghouls eventually let their players go who eventually found their way back through AI Esports. The team, however, underperformed and failed to qualify for the M4 World Championships and the 2023 MSC, respectively.
