How Team SMG and Talon Qualified for the Lima Major

Talon Esports and Team SMG are the first Southeast Asian teams to qualify for the upcoming Berlin Major.

Both teams qualified to the second major of the 2023 Dota Pro Circuit after Team SMG swept Army Geniuses, 2-0, earlier today in their DPC SEA Tour 2: Division I match-up.

Talon Esports currently sits at the top spot with a 5-0 standing while Team SMG is at second place with a 5-1 slate.

Army Geniuses is on pace to snag the third seed with a 4-2 standing but Execration isn’t too far behind carrying a 3-2 record.

Blacklist International and Bleed Esports, who have identical 1-3 slates, are still in the running for the last and final slot for the Berlin Major but they must win all of their remaining games in order to have a shot.

Currently at last place are Polaris Esports and Geek Slate with 0-4 records. Both teams can still escape relegation but can no longer qualify for the Berlin Major
