Swan “Ruby DD” Aung, the sixth man of Burmese Ghouls, has recently hinted at the return of one of Southeast Asia’s most prominent Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) leagues.

Ruby DD shared on Facebook what appeared to be the official page of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang esports in Myanmar.

The page’s first post was an announcement for MSC 2023, which included the region as a competing team.

However, fans noticed a comment made by Ruby DD on the page, in which he stated that the page would eventually be the official Facebook page of MPL Myanmar.

“This page will focus on all MLBB tournaments in MM, including MSC qualifier, MSC, M qualifier, and [also] the upcoming MPLMM!,” Ruby DD said.

The return of MPL Myanmar would be a significant development for fans in Myanmar, as the league was once a powerhouse with solid teams like Burmese Ghouls and Ronin Esports competing in it.

The league ran for five seasons from 2018 to 2020 until it was forced to shut down due to an ongoing conflict.

Despite this, teams from the region continued to compete, with Falcon Esports leading the charge.

They participated in MSC 2023 and M4 World Championship, finishing in a respectable 4th and 5th-6th place, respectively.
