ECHO coaches Archie “Tictac” Reyes and Robert “Trebor” Sanchez revealed that SIBOL tried to include some of their players for the upcoming 32nd Southeast Asian Games but the said players decided to beg off due to different reasons.

According to Hyprgame’s sources, EXP laner Sanford “Sanford” Vinuya, roamer Tristan “Yawi” Cabrera, and jungler Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno all received invites to be part of the lineup.

SIBOL first invited Sanford but the 16-year-old rising star declined due to the practice schedule. After Sanford declined, the national team tried to get Yawi who also begged off for the same reason.

KarlTzy, on the other hand, was supposed to be included as the team’s sixth man after the first two passed but he also declined the invitation to focus on ECHO’s MPL campaign.

“Ayaw magpa-sixth man. Iba pa rin yung awra namin ng Echo kaya hindi deserve maging sixth man yung kukunin samin,” revealed Trebor, who did not disclose the names of the invited players.

Tictac said that ECHO is supporting their players in their respective decisions and stressed that the organization is just looking out for them.

“Maraming maaapektuhan na schedule. If ever na makapasok kami sa MSC, maapektuhan ang schedule,” said Tictac.

“Sobrang pagod din talaga ng byahe kasi isipin niyo alas-10 ng gabi babyahe papuntang bootcamp ng Bren tapos babalik ng 12. Baka madreain yung bata tapos baka pamano pa sila,” he added.
