John Paul “H2wo” Salonga’s departure signaled a new era for popular content creator Setsuna “Akosi Dogie” Ignacio and Nexplay EVOS.
H2wo, who spent the last five seasons with the franchise, was the final remnant of the original Nexplay Solid squad that helped the organization enter the MPL Philippines back in Season Six.
He was also the last remaining member of the ‘Big Three’ which includes Renejay “RENEJAY” Barcarse – who was recently let go of the organization – and Tristan “Yawi” Cabrera, who left the team for ECHO two seasons ago.
Dogie took the three under his wing during their time together with Nexplay. The three became the most popular ML:BB players in the Philippines through Dogie’s influence and became big-time streamers with multiple brand deals as well.
The ML:BB pioneer said that he was very proud of the three for getting out of their comfort zones and choosing to grow on their own. Dogie also said that he respects their decision and will continue supporting them from afar.
“Since labas na kung nasan team si H2wo at Renejay, proud na proud ako sa inyo kung nasan ‘man kayong team ngayon. Nasa mundo tayo na mahirap lumabas sa comfort zone mas lalo na dito sa Pinas,” Dogie said.
“Naging comfort zone niyo ako H2wo, Renjay, at Yawi. Syempre nirerespeto ko yun. Kaya kung anong meron ako, sinasama ko kayo, tinuturuan ko kayo kung ano ang maganda sa panget Alam ko darating ang panahon na maghihiwalay tayo ng landas kaya noon pa lang tinutulak ko na kayo humanap ng ibang team para matuto kayong tumayo sa sarili niyong paa at lumabas sa comfort zone niyo kase hindi habang buhay nandito ako,” he continued
RSG PH recently announced its acquisition of H2wo while Renejay is expected to join Blacklist International in the upcoming season.
Yawi, meanwhile, recently won the M4 World Championship after helping ECHO break the code and dominate Blacklist International in the grand finals last month.
