New Overpowered Item Leak: Harpoon

A preview of the leaked item, Harpoon, showed glimpses that the item is overpowered after its abilities displayed similarities to Pudge’s first skill, Meat Hook.

Leaks of the new items had been pouring in ever since their inception to the game’s data. Many of the leakers had played around the unreleased items and tested them in hopes to analyze them before the official release.

One of the unreleased items, named Harpoon, was deemed overpowered by many leakers due to its active ability.

The item itself can be tested in-game with certain commands to have it appear on the tested heroes. Harpoon gives its wearers a bonus +25 damage and the active ability to hook enemy heroes that were hit.

The neutral item’s ability was triggered on-attack effect with the cooldown of 10 seconds.

Not only that the hero gets hooked, a critical damage will also be triggered by the active on-attack effect. The exact amount of the damage was still speculated, although some had the estimation of 2x flat critical damage.

The active ability of the item had the fans speculating the overpowered nature of Harpoon with certain heroes.

One of them being Razor, as he was also on the rise in public games. Although he was a ranged hero, Razor’s gameplay revolves around him getting close to his enemies all the time.

With the new neutral item, it would almost be impossible for enemies to escape the chasing Razor on the enemy team.
