Saberlight: It’s Normal That Jerax Struggled in NA

Saberlight, one of the players from the Upper Division DPC NA team, said that it was normal for Jerax to have a hard time adapting.

Evil Geniuses, Jerax’s new team that returned from retirement, is still having a hard time due to the lack of chemistry. Currently, they are in 3rd position after experiencing 2 defeats. Many say that both Jerax and EG are underperforming in Season 1 of DPC this time. However, Saberlight said that EG and Jerax’s difficulties were perfectly normal.

In one of Team Undying’s interviews after defeating 4Zoomers, Saberlight got a question about EG. Jenkins, one of the interviewees, asked Saberlight about the reason why EG struggled to win the match. Saberlight replied that he had great respect for Jerax and Evil Geniuses. He initially had high expectations of EG’s new roster.

However, the results they got were far from Saberlight’s expectations, which he said was perfectly normal. Saberlight said that their difficulty was due to the lack of chemistry between the new players. Not to mention that there are two players who have shifted from their roles, such as Nightfall from carry to offlane, and Jerax from soft support to hard support.

He also explained that no player can immediately return to their original form after a two year break from the professional scene. It was exemplified by Jerax. It is inferred that EG just needs time to get back to being dominant in the DPC.
