You_k, a former Army Geniuses and OB Neon player, revealed that there is an organization that often tempt the SEA team to “322”!
You_K, on one of his streams using Rusman’s account, revealed interesting facts about 322 in SEA. “322” is a code indicating that a team throws a match in a case of matchfixing. Apparently, You_k said that there is a special large organization that often offers teams in SEA to do the “throw”.
You_K even said “Like the mafia, there must be an organization.” He then added that all SEA teams that had entered the DPC had received the 322 bid, including his old team, Army Geniuses. However, he and his old team (Army Geniuses) swiftly turned down the offer, arguing that he wasn’t just playing for money.
You_K also continued at that time they handled the problem quite well. He immediately forwarded these strange offers to his boss so that there would be no trust issues between players and management. He received the offer against Omega, a team that recently had a matchfixing case and received a ban from Division 1.
The offer to lose against Omega was immediately rejected, and Army Geniuses defeated Omega with a score of 2-0. Apparently, the bookie managed to instigate Omega to throw their match in another tournament, which resulted in their ban from the 1st Division SEA DPC.
Hopefully other SEA players realize the dangers of matchfixing and avoid it, and Valve can find a solution so that Dota 2 players don’t have to resort towards matchfixing to get money.
