Esports Community Mourns Legendary Caster Kuya D’s Passing

The mourning for the passing of the esports legend Kuya D continues.

The Philippine esports community was taken aback after the death of Aldrin Paulo “Dunoo” Pangan due to COVID broke out.

In his last Facebook upload, Dunoo (Kuya D) documented his story of fighting for his life. Dunoo showed how difficult it was for him to breathe while trying to speak with an oxygen mask.

Kuya D was one of the Philippines’ greatest casters, if not the best. Through his wit, the very popular “Lakad Matatag, Normalin Normalin” was immortalized in Dota 2.

Esports Community Share their Stories with Kuya D

Marlon “Lon” Marcelo, Dunoo’s partner in casting, shared on Facebook how devastated he was in the passing of his friend. He shared how he and Kuya D envisioned themselves in the future.

“Aldrin partner naman bat ganun? Yung mga projects at pangarap natin di pa naayos nawala ka na ” he told.

The veteran caster shared that he and Kuya D have numerous plans in the future which can no longer happen because of his death.

Aside from Marlon, other esports professionals including big organizations shared their condolences for Kuya D.

Teams including Team Secret, OG, and Alliance have all mourned the death of a legend.

Dunoo’s passing definitely shook the whole esports community. The many condolences shared show how legendary his impact was in the industry.
