Kelra Slapped with 14-Day Suspension Following Sexist Remarks

MSC 2021 MVP Grant Duane Pillas of Omega Esports, also known as Kelra, is facing multiple penalties following his sexist remarks against Blacklist International’s Ohmyv33nus and Wise.

In a statement published in MPL Philippines’ Facebook page, the organization said Kelra “was found in violation of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League – Philippines Season 8 Official Rules for offensive comments against fellow professional players and showing of unprofessional behavior during a livestream.”

Following an investigation, Kelra was found to have violated the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League – Philippines Season 8 Official Rules on Sexual Harassment and Discrimination and Denigration.

Because of this, MPL-Philippines Operating Committee has decided to put penalties for Grant Duane “Kelra” Pillas and Omega Esports.

This includes Kelra’s suspension for two weeks or fourteen (14) days starting from the first day of the MPL-Philippines Season 8 Regular Season.

He and Omega Esports were also issued warning about the issue. Kelra also faces fine due to his actions.

The MPL-PH Operating Committee clarified that it does not tolerate any form of discrimination in the league and expects professional players to follow a strict code of conduct. The MPL-Philippines is working with all the teams to produce a safe environment for everyone.
