This year’s Miss Universe Pageant is once again under intense scrutiny after it crowned Mexico’s Andrea Meza as its titleholder for its 69th season.

While Meza’s win received many negative comments, the pageant’s judges were also bashed for allegedly being biased, as Miss Mexico did not perform well during the two-part question and answer round. in fact, many pageant enthusiasts placed her fifth after hearing her answers.

“The judges need to undergo a swab test because they clearly have no taste,” one commenter said.

“I’m not aware that I’m watching Miss Latin Universe 2020. Most of the Top 5 are Latinas, even the judges,” one tweet said.

“Asian Cooking show? Seriously, no Asian made to the top 3? Asia is the powerhouse of miss universe, come on. Fuckin Asian Hate judges,” tweeted another.

“Ms. MEXICO DOESN’T DESERVE TO WIN. HER ANSWER ABOUT COVID IS FUCKING NON SENSE! COMPARED TO ANSWER OF PERU WHICH HAS MORE MEANING. MISS UNIVERSE IS A COOKING SHOW AS MAJORITY OF THE JUDGES ARE LATIN. BULLSHIT RESULT!,” one user exclaimed.

The judges’ panel is composed of former titleholders Brook Lee and Zuleyka Rivera, Carnival Cruise Line president Christine Duffy, Mary Kay marketing chief Sheryl Adkins-Green, entrepreneur Deepica Mutyala, economist Tatyana Orozco, author and TV personality Keltie Knight, and actress Arden Cho.

This year’s pageant finals was held in Hollywood, Florida where Mexico’s Andrea Meza was crowned.
