Riot Trying to Sabotage Valve?

The feud between two famous publishers in the world today, namely Valve and Riot, has indeed captured the attention of the public, but as time goes by, it seems that each side is starting to falter. Maybe it’s just a matter of time until everything is really answered.

For two decades, Valve has dominated the largest esports market share through its two games, namely Counter Strike and Dota. If you look back in history, after 10 years of Valve dominating with the first Counter Strike and Dota in Warcraft 3: Frozen Throne, Valve managed to return to being the top holder of the throne through the games Counter Strike: Global Offensive (CSGO) and Dota 2.

But what about now? Like a spinning wheel, there is a time to stand firmly on top, there is a time to fall. Riot, a publisher who may not have been Valve’s focus at first, unexpectedly emerged as Valve’s strongest competitor. Trying to enter with a similar type of gameplay to the game made by Valve, slowly but surely, Riot has succeeded in shifting the paradigm of people who have been too addicted to Dota 2 and CSGO.

It comes with a fresher concept, League of Legends and Valorant, successfully becoming Riot’s ultimate weapon to destroy the solid walls of Dota 2 and CSGO. Facts on the field also show that the esports team, which used to be fans of the Dota 2 fanatical line, is gradually changing its course. Call it Dignitas and Evil Geniuses. After all, in the end, as seen now, a new division has emerged that has a specialization in the realm of League of Legends and Valorant.

It’s no wonder that in recent times, statistics show that the number of players who enjoy Dota 2 and CSGO has decreased every year. Esports journalist Richard Lewis said that in contrast to Valve, Riot made very aggressive maneuvers to completely eliminate Valve’s dominance.

Rumors have emerged that Riot secretly campaigned for North American esports organizations not to sponsor esports organizations from other MOBAs apart from League of Legends. Is this true? We both don’t know the answer. One thing is for sure, regardless of whether Riot actually did that, Valve has basically done a much better job than Riot chasing the multi-game esports organization out of Dota 2.

If the above news is true, it’s a shame that Riot, who is currently rising, has the heart to do this.
