After the mess around Zeros, the team’s dissolution and reuniting again, SBTC Esports continues to be entangled in a new drama. Specifically, the management of the SBTC was accused of intercepting the amount of up to $9,000 (200 million VND), which should have been used to support flooded communities in Central Vietnam.

At the time of October 2020, the SBTC’s management called on the audience and sponsors to raise money to support the Central region. Through Noway’s livestream as well as the fan community of the Noway + Cara couple, the donation amounted to 200 million VND, and Tu himself also carefully planned a trip to Central to directly hand over the number. This money is for the people of Central Vietnam.

However, due to many reasons such as Noway being sick, or due to the COVID-19 epidemic, Tu has not made any move to show that he has transferred this large amount of money to the Central region. By April 2021, six months since receiving the donation, the SBTC’s manager and his team have not yet taken action with satisfactory explanations for the sponsors.

This drama not only affected the face of SBTC, but also had a significant impact on Noway – Cara, who supported Tu to donate for the people of Central Vietnam. The representative of SBTC has also been repeatedly exposed when keeping the charity money, but still opened 3 new shops and recently traveled leisurely.

The incident forced the SBTC’s management to speak up. He said he still keeps the charity money, and will pass it on to other charities.

The action as well as the explanation given by the SBTC manager was probably too late, as this money was not spent at the most appropriate time.
