China’s KeepBest Gaming (KBG) emerged victorious as they dominated the inaugural Wild Rift League Asia Championship, sweeping the Philippines’ Nigma Galaxy (NGX) in a resounding 4-0 victory during the grand finals on Sunday, July 23.

KBG’s triumph earned them the lion’s share of the tournament’s CN¥2,000,000 (~US$276,000) prize pool, claiming a staggering CN¥1 million (~US$138,000). On the other hand, NGX secured the second position and took home CN¥400,000 (~US$55,000).

NGX went off to a strong start, taking a commanding 14-7 lead over the Chinese team, even opening up the KGB base. A crucial clash for the elder dragon however spelled doom for NGX as KBG easily turned the table to draw first blood in just 20 mins.

The Game 1 win then set the tone for KGB’s dominant run, not giving NGX any inch to generate momentum. The Chinese team was relentless with its map pressure, forcing NGX to awkward positions during team fights that ended the game in just 17 minutes with a 19-2 kill tally

Throughout the series, the Chinese team demonstrated their prowess, overwhelming NGX in game three and securing another victory in a quick 16 minutes, achieving a 13-5 kill lead and establishing a formidable 3-0 series lead.

Despite NGX’s best efforts to stage a comeback, KBG proved unstoppable, dominating them in a swift 13-minute rout during game four, ultimately claiming the title of inaugural Wild Rift League Asia champions.
