The International Back To Seattle, NA After SEA TI ‘Flop’

The International is rumored to be back in Seattle after the recent staging in Singapore flopped and did not meet everyone’s standards.

After the supposedly The International ‘flop’ in Singapore, fans were thinking of a new location. The International 11 at Singapore only managed to gather $18,930,775, in contrast to the $30.000.000+ prizepool of the previous ones.

Therefore, rumors were spreading about Valve moving The International back to Seattle for this year’s edition.

In the already edited Facebook post, John Patrick Lowrie, the voice actor of many heroes in Dota, announced his intention to travel to Lima, Peru, for the major. However, he also unintentionally leaked the next venue of The International 12.

Based on the post, it seemed that the next International would be held at Seattle.

TI at Seattle had been a throwback for some time. The last time it was hosted in Valve’s city was back in TI7. Team Liquid won the Aegis back during The International 7, with Miracle and Kuroky gaining their status as ‘greatest of all time’.

With Team Liquid back in form again with Nisha and zai, it would be poetic for them to win in Seattle again.

However, there were sections of fans that thought the timezone difference would be too much for them. Fans from Europe and Southeast Asia had been enjoying the past TI for the small timezone difference.
