Old G Likely to Qualify Easily as Opponent Forfeits

The run of Old G at 2022 DPC WEU Tour 1: Closed Qualifier might be smoother than fans expect as their first opponent forfeited.

Fans of the famous team Old G consisting of multiple TI winners were excited to see their team play again. However, their opponents continually forfeit due to unrelated reasons.

Therefore, fans hoped Old G’s next opponent, Team Blink, would not forfeit as well.

The first forfeit win they received was during the Open Qualifier final against the ex-Ad Finem, Monaspa. Both teams decided that the Open Qualifier seeding does not matter, and Monaspa agreed to a forfeit.

Old G went on to the Closed Qualifier and received the Top Seed They were then supposed to start the Closed Qualifier by facing LeClassique 2.0.

However, instead of having an exciting match for the fans, they faced yet another forfeiture. This time, LeClassique even went to forfeit their Lower Bracket match as well, effectively eliminating themselves from the qualifier.

With the forfeit, Old G would look to play against Team Blink, should they not forfeit their games as well.

Team Blink themselves consisted of several upcoming Tier 2 players with no history yet. They managed to qualify for the Closed Qualifier by winning the third Open Qualifier of the 2022 WEU DPC.

As they were able to defeat numerous teams before, Old G would still need to be ready before facing the up-and-coming team.
