Worlds 2023 makes a triumphant return to South Korea, a move not seen since 2018 when Invictus Gaming claimed victory over Fnatic.

The event will span from October 10 to November 19, held at various venues in Seoul and Busan.

This year’s League of Legends World Championship introduces a fresh format, including the Worlds Qualifying Series (WQS), a preliminary tournament.

The WQS involves a best-of-five contest between the fourth seeds from the League of Legends Championship Series (LCS) and the League of Legends EMEA Championship (LEC).

The victor earns the final slot in the Worlds 2023 Play-Ins.

While currently exclusive to LCS and LEC, Riot Games intends to extend the WQS to other regions soon.

Representing LCS is the Golden Guardians, while the LEC representative will be determined during the September LEC Season Finals.

The winner secures a spot at Worlds, with the bracket played on the second day of the Play-In Stage. More details on the Worlds 2023 Draw Show will follow.
