BetBoom announced that Egor “Nightfall” Grigorenko and Ivan “Pure” Moskalenko will switch roles ahead of the Dota Pro Circuit Eastern Europe 2023 Tour 3: Division 1.

Nightfall will play the carry role starting Tour 3 while Pure will slide back to the offlane role.

The 21-year-old Russian played carry in the recently-concluded Berlin Major as Pure failed to join the team due to visa issues. It looks like the team liked what they saw from Nightfall despite their 13th-14th place finish in Berlin.

BetBoom is currently at 12th place in the Dota Pro Circuit rankings with a total of 460 points.

Virtus.pro CEO Explains Why Nightfall and Save- Left the Dota 2 Roster

The team must perform well in the third tour to secure their seat in The International 12 which is why they decided to try and switch things up between their cores.

Switching roles between players is a common strategy in Dota 2, as it allows teams to experiment with different playstyles and adapt to different opponents.

Nightfall and Pure are both experienced players with a deep understanding of the game, so the team’s decision to switch them around is likely a calculated move aimed at improving their overall performance.

Whether or not this strategy will pay off remains to be seen, but fans of BetBoom are surely hoping for the best.
