It’s only been a few weeks since the start of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Development League in the Philippines, but international teams are already eyeing the prestigious league reports.
In a report by ONE Esports Indonesia, RRQ CEO Andrian “AP” Pauline made a groundbreaking statement that could significantly improve competition in MDL PH.
“RRQ will most likely have an MDL PH next season,” he said. “There are so many excellent players there. What’s the reason? to learn from the region.”
This news is significant because RRQ has already built a massive fanbase in Indonesia for its star-studded roster in MPL ID.
The MDL PH currently fields ten teams in the tournament, eight of which are sister teams of MPL PH. There is still no word on the process for another organization to join or whether there will be more slots available next season.
RRQ is the winningest team in the country, with four titles to their name, making them the first team to achieve such a feat.
Currently, they have an MDL team in Indonesia called RRQ Sena, and there is no news yet on whether they plan to transfer those players to PH or establish a new team altogether in the Philippines.
This is not RRQ’s first time in the Philippines. In 2021, the organization formed a Wild Rift team in the country, which was disbanded two years later.
