Former The Valley EXP laner Ian “FwydChickn” Hohl announced that he will be skipping the upcoming North America Challenger Tournament, the qualifiers for the 2023 Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Southeast Asia Cup, to focus on his tryouts for MPL teams.
The Valley, which represented the region to the M4 World Championship, reportedly called it quits with Jang âHoonâ Seong, Oscar âSHARKâ Vo, and Peter âBasicâ Lozano set to represent Ohio Brothers in the NACT â leaving captain Michael âMobaZaneâ Cosgun alone to fend for himself.
FwydChickn said that thereâs no point in joining the MSC since it doesnât mean anything. According to him, people who brings up the tournament are only diehard fans.
âWho [cares] about MSC [2023]? MSC doesnât mean anything. No one cares about MSC,â said FwydChickn.

âPeople think about MPL champs and M-series champs. They donât care about MSC, SEA Games or IESF,â said FwydChickn. âPeople only bring those up when theyâre diehard fans,â he added.
The former BTK star said that he is set to try out with three MPL teams but he declined to reveal the identity of the teams, saying that it might jeopardize his situation.
FwydChickn, though, hinted that the teams he is eyeing to join are not in the Philippines.
âI have two teams that already want to try me out and a 3rd team maybe will try me out,â said FwydChickn. âI wish I could say the teams⌠I donât want to say anything that would potentially jeopardize my position.â
The 2023 MSC is set to begin on June 10 and will be held in Cambodia for the first time.
