Dexter “Exort” Martinez got a much-needed boost with the arrival of former teammate John Paul “H2wo” Salonga in RSG Slate PH for the upcoming MPL Philippines Season 11.

Exort and H2wo spent a season together with Nexplay Esports back in Season Seven. They managed to help the franchise reach the playoffs but eventually lost to Work Auster Force in the first round of the lower bracket which ended their campaign.

The 22-year-old mid laner then transferred to RSG PH in the next season while H2wo stayed in Nexplay EVOS.

Exort is set to take on the starting role for RSG PH in Season 11 after Arvie “Aqua” Calderon decided to rest. H2wo is also in line for a starting gig in the team, replacing Jhonard “Demonkite” Caranto, who also requested a break.

The former ArkAngel Ownage standout said that having H2wo beside him motivated him to work even more hard for this upcoming season.

“Nung nalaman kong kukunin na si H2, parang naeexcite ako and namomotivate ako lalo kasi naging kakampi ko siya before and gusto ko siyang maging kakampi ulit. Namomotivate ako,” said Exort during the Season 11 media day held at the Gama Studios.

RSG PH is coming off an impressive year where they won the Season Nine title and the MSC championship, respectively. Though the Raiders failed to qualify for the M4 World Championship, they still managed to salvage a third place finish in Season 10.

The duo of Exort and H2wo will join Dylan “Light” Catipon, Eman “EMANN” Sangco, and Nathanael “Nathzz” Estrologo in the main five.
