No More UBE Strat? Blacklist to Test New Playstyle in MPL S9

Is the UBE strat already spoiled?

Blacklist International’s famous UBE strategy may no longer be happening in the upcoming MPL. Since the arrival of new faces for the team, Blacklist is reported to be trying a new strategy for MPL PH Season 9.

Recently, key players OhMyV33nus and Wise will be taking a break this season. To fill their absence, the team has acquired Kent Xavier “KEVIER” Lopez.

According to reports, KEVIER is a pro player, and a student who is an actual fan of the team.

According to him, he’s already familiar with the team even before V33Wise became part of it.

“They (Blacklist International) already knew me before, we got to play RG (Ranked Games) together and other stuff,” he said.

Originally, KEVIER played as a Gold Laner, and sometimes as a midlaner. Eventually, the player transitioned to jungler who specializes in assassin heroes.

Tryke, CEO of Blacklist, told that the team intentionally did not play assassin heroes. With the arrival of their new player, the team is ready to give some massive surprises.

“(The team will go) Aggressive on early game,” mentioned KEVIER. “I observed that Blacklist’s playstyle is mostly about scaling their late-game heroes like Aldous and marksmen. But now, with assassins, mostly early game.”

Blacklist International became famous for its UBE Strat. This ‘Ultimate Bonding Experience’ has become the squad’s key playstyle which allowed them to win even the M3 World Championship.

For the upcoming MPL, it’s already sure that the team will be trying to use assassin heroes.
