Neelofa Holds Mass Gathering Again; Second Offense?

Neelofa is always going viral in the most unwanted ways!

COVID protocol violator Neelofa is once again on top of Malaysia’s social media after the influencer flouted their Hari Raya celebration which showed protocol violations.

In a currently viral video uploaded by Neelofa’s sister Noor Nabila, Neelofa and her family was seen seeking for elders’ forgiveness and hugging each other. The said video was allegedly taken in the morning of Eid.

Among whose involved in the video are Neelofa, her husband PU Riz, Nabila, Engku Emran, her mother Noor Kartini, and others whose names were no longer identified.

Many netizens slammed the same photo, questioning whether or not the whole family were living under one roof. If not, it appears the whole household could be facing sanctions as gathering of such size is in violation of Malaysia’s SOPs.

According to the police, the incident was already reported to their office, and that an investigation is already ongoing in respect to Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Regulations 2021 being followed in Malaysia.

Mohamad Farouk Eshak, Ampang Jaya District Police Chief, told that the authorities will be contacting all the persons allegedly present in the celebration. All the people who will be contacted will be interrogated and asked to testify.

“We will call those involved in the festive activities to testify,” the police chief told.

If found guilty, this will be the second time that Neelofa and husband PU Riz will be convicted of COVID-19 protocol violations.

The married couple first found themselves guilty of violating protocols after the two were caught celebrating their honeymoon outside residence despite strict border restrictions.

Neelofa and PU Riz were fined in for a controversial RM 20,000– an amount questioned by netizens as they claim it was unjust to others who were fined despite having a lower level of violation.
