Lucinta Luna Criticized for Riding a Dolphin

Lucinta Luna has been in the public eye for the past few months due to several issues, and this time, it’s about riding a dolphin.

This action drew anger of netizens, activists, and the former Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, Susi Pujiastuti.

In the viral video, Lucinta was riding a dolphin swimming upside down. She screamed while holding the animal’s flipper. Not only Lucinta Luna, but two of her friends were also doing the same thing. Activist Davina Veronica was very sad to know a public figure can’t be wise in choosing her content.

“This is really really stupid, uneducated, cruel and heartless. So sad to see this. Those dolphins are like human slaves. A slave for human entertainment,” said Davina in her Instagram post.

She explained that dolphins are one of the most intelligent and gentle animals on earth. Dolphins are also social creatures and should be with its family in the ocean. Seeing the fact that the dolphin is exploited and locked up in a pool alone, Davina said that it was like swimming in a bathtub. Not to mention the dolphin becomes the entertainment’s object every day.

Davina did not hesitate to mention the account manager of the facility in her post and asked to stop and close it. Shortly thereafter, the account was no longer active.

The former Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, Susi Pujiastuti, also responded to Lucinta Luna’s irresponsible action.

“Many people think money & fame can buy and allowing to do anything.. including stupidity and being stupid 👆👆👆👆👆👆,” wrote Susi Pujiastuti. She replied to a netizen who uploaded Lucinta Luna’s video swimming with dolphins.

Until now, Lucinta Luna has not responded the criticisms.
