Rexxy Dropped from MDL to Save Evos Icon

This year’s Mobile Legends Developmental League (MDL) standings seem to be quite a difficult competition for EVOS Icon team. Even though at first EVOS Icon won consecutive wins until it occupied the top of the standings, at the 5th week of week, the team has started to become loose and inconsistent.

Seeing this, the EVOS management immediately intervened and took over some of the technicalities of EVOS Icon. Rexxy from EVOS Legends was finally ordered to step down to overcome the EVOS Icon difficulty.

Since the fifth week, EVOS Icon has suffered successive defeats. The Siren esports team successfully defeated EVOS Icon with a 2-0 result. After Siren, it was Genflix Aerowolf’s turn to successfully silence EVOS Icon with a 2-1 result.

It is not surprising that the EVOS Icon has experienced a decline in performance, considering that there are indeed several crucial factors that clearly affect the quality of the EVOS Icon’s performance. The departure of the main jungler Ferxiic to EVOS Legends clearly leaves a void that hasn’t been filled. Plus Revicii’s active rotation in jungler and gold laner roles, it also seemed to be a sign of inconsistency. As a result, it is difficult for EVOS Icon to find teamwork among themselves.

Obviously this last weekend of the regular season of MDL, Icon is starting to look out of breath. The most recent way to be able to overcome this very urgent problem is to reduce a retainer who can improve the internal mental wellness of EVOS Icon. Rexxy is the person who is considered appropriate to return the EVOS Icon to the match line. The strengths of Rexxy are a large pool of heroes and good macro. In addition, this talented young player can actually fill all roles because of his versatility.

It will be interesting to see if Rexxy will still fill the support role at Icon, or even become a jungler. The presence of Rexxy seems to be helping the line-up of the EVOS Icon left by Ferxiic. The reason is, Icon actually already has a Zoeybit whose performance has been so captivating throughout the season. Rexxy should be able to form a good collaboration with him. It’s different if Rexxy plays as a jungler. If the Jungler position is filled automatically, Revicii is shifted to the gold laner post.

But all of that is not certain, let’s just wait for the possibility that Rexxy will appear in week 6, the last week of the regular season of MDL ID Season 3. Hopefully with the presence of Rexxy it can make EVOS Icon rise again from adversity.
