NRG Reportedly Dropping Majority of its VALORANT Players Next Season

NRG Esports is reportedly planning significant changes to its Valorant roster for the 2024 season after a disappointing 2023 performance.

Esports journalist George Geddes states that three players, including s0m, ardiis, and FNS, might be dropped.

While they reached the top four in VCT Masters Tokyo, their recent track record includes a quarterfinal exit in VCT LOCK//IN and group stage elimination in Valorant Champions 2023.

Langkah ini akan mengekalkan hanya Victor Wong dan Austin crashies Roberts daripada senarai pasukan tahun ini, menandakan pergeseran strategik tanpa pemimpin veteran mereka.

The rebuilding process is likely to start after the current season ends next month.

NRG performed well last year, notably placing second in the Americas Finals and fourth in Masters Tokyo.

Despite being considered strong contenders in Champions 2023, they were unexpectedly eliminated by China’s Bilibili Gaming.

The Valorant offseason is set to start in September, allowing partnered teams to scout for fresh talent ahead of the 2024 international competitions.
