Madness Esports defeated defending champion Team HAQ in the third week of MPL MY Season 11.
Despite being a new team, having just qualified this season, Madness Esports managed to secure a 2-0 victory against Team HAQ, widely considered one of the best teams in Malaysia.
The first game was one-sided, with Madness Esports dominating from the start, ending the game in just 10 minutes thanks to a Maniac from Xavvsz’s Beatrix.
With a kill score of just 8-2, it was clear that Madness Esports was in control.
The second game was a closer battle, with Garyy’s unusual Dyrroth jungle pick working in Team HAQ’s favor.
However, Madness Esports maintained their pressure and clinched the win with an 11-7 score at the 21-minute mark.
Madness Esports’ victory puts them at 1-4 and seventh in the standings, while Team HAQ is just one place above with a 1-3 score.
