Bren Esports inched closer to a playoff berth after scoring a 2-1 reverse sweep against Nexplay EVOS in the MPL Philippines Season 11 regular season, Friday night.
Nexplay EVOS drew first blood in the series after the early exploits of Bien “BoyetDR” Chumacera’s Karina, who scored a triple kill during the 4th minute that allowed them to snowball into victory.
After the Game One mishap, Bren Esports came back in Game Two and claimed revenge over Nexplay EVOS with Kyle “KyleTzy” Sayson unleashing a surprise Helcurt pick that spearheaded the lopsided 12-0 win.

Marco “Super Marco” provided seven kills and two assists without a single death to aid KyleTzy in the Game Two triumph.
Bren Esports then completed the reverse sweep with another huge win in Game Three that saw KyleTzy put up a flawless Ling performance.
“Their performance was really surprising. We didn’t really expect the Karina pick from them kaya it caught us off guard,” said Bren Esports assistant coach Vrendon “Vren” Pesebre.
“We just pulled out a card from our pockets and it worked,” Vren added when asked about their Game Two draft.
Bren Esports is now on a nine-game winning streak – their longest ever – which helped them solidify their place at the top spot with a league best 9-1 standing.
