K-Pop is now dominating the international music scene, except of course for North Korea because of Kim Jong-un.

North Korea’s Supreme Leader Kimg Jong-un called K-Pop a “vicious cancer”. According to him, the music corrupts young North Koreans’ “attire, hairstyles, speeches, behaviors.”

North Korea will ‘crumble like a damp wall’ if the music will not be muffled in the country, he added.

He plans to stop the spread of the “dangerous poison” that is K-Pop. In his speech, he told that South Korean pop music shows “unsavory, individualistic, antisocialist behavior”.

Said characteristics were “dangerous” to the North Koreans according to him.

This alleged ‘ culture war’ being waged by North Korea was first publicized by Daily NK.

The said media company disclosed leaked internal documents which came from “Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.”

“To Kim Jong-un, the cultural invasion from South Korea has gone beyond a tolerable level,” told the Editor-in-Chief of Asia Press International.

South Korea’s K-Pop now has North Korea as its only country left uninfluenced with their music.

Kim Jong-un’s totalitarian rule has the power to control anything in their country, including music which he did regarding K-Pop entering the country.
