Surprise, surprise…

League of Legends: Wild Rift might be receiving a big surprise in the following weeks as Wild Rift executives have hinted a possible exclusive heroes available only within the game, although plans remain unclear.

This big news might be something fans could start looking forward to, although there is still “nothing currently planned,” as told by Wild Rift itself.

“We have a lot more we need to bring over first,” Brian “Feral Pony” Feeney told, gameplay design director for Wild Rift.

“I certainly wouldn’t rule out WR exclusive champions in the future though.” the design director added.

Developers however revealed that they already have big plans to uncover for the fans, especially when it comes to the game’s champions. They also said that they are not planning to go anywhere near the 160+ champions available in the League of Legends PC.

Currently, the game already has 61 champions in its pool– a number far from its PC counterpart.

“While we can make basically every champion from PC work, it’d be great to design some with mobile and controller first gameplay,” Feral Pony told.

The said exclusive champions as told by the team will be designed in relation to mobiles’ and controllers’ limits. This is to set apart the mobile from the PC version.

Although the game is starting to get a big name worldwide, it remains on its birthing phase as features like new game modes, together with other bugs, exploits, and in-game qualities are still the main target for developers.
