The Neloofa and PU Riz wedding scandal deepens!

Malaysian online community continues to take abuzz on Neelofa’s alleged violation of COVID-19 protocols. Now, the plot takes a wilder turn as a business gets involved.

Chatime Malaysia recently released a statement on its social media clearing the allegations that the business was used by the couple to ‘excuse’ themselves from health protocol violations,” Chatime’s statement told, adding that even the police gave the couple special permission.

“Permission to cross state lines to travel to Langkawi was obtained from a nearby police station in compliance with the existing SOPs. We hope this statement will help to shed the light on all the confusion.” the statement continued.

Brickfields District Police on the other hand cleared that the office indeed gave permission to the celebrity, including three other individuals to travel across the border of Langkawi for ‘business’ purposes.

The office also emphasized that they did not grant the couple permission for their ‘honeymoon’ purposes.

“They were scheduled to arrive in Langkawi on 29th March and will be there until 2nd April before visiting the Chatime stores in Sungai Petani and Kangar the day after that. Therefore, I emphasised that the permit issued by the Sri Hartamas Police Station is for work and not honeymoon purposes,” the police chief said.

Despite clarifications, netizens continued to stir up the issue saying that the couple used their connections to get their permits.

Rumors say that speculations are not that far from the truth as Neelofa and Chatime’s director are said to be sisters.

As of the moment, Neelofa and Chatime are both trending on Malaysian Twitter, with most tweets coming from netizens venting out frustrations over the capabilities of those wealthy people to pull strings to enjoy luxury.
