Former DFM coaches Kazuta ‘Kazu’ Suzuki and Kyohei ‘Ceros’ Yoshida have been suspended from all LoL esports activity for six months by Riot Games, following an investigation into allegations of abuse within DetonatioN FocusMe’s LoL team.

The decision, which comes after a month-long probe into claims made by Haruki ‘tol2’ Shibata, a top laner for DFM, stems from his tweets on July 6.

In these tweets, Shibata revealed he was compelled to leave the team’s gaming house due to continuous abuse and harassment inflicted by the coaching duo.

Riot Games and the League of Legends Japan League (LJL) have now released the results of their investigation after a thorough month of scrutiny.

In light of the findings, DetonatioN FocusMe has been fined 2 million JPY ($13,690 USD) and is required to enhance their internal anti-harassment protocols.

Additionally, CEO Nobuyuki “LGraN” Umezaki is mandated to undergo harassment education training facilitated by a third party.

DetonatioN FocusMe’s response to LJL’s investigation has led to the establishment of new mental health and anti-harassment policies.

However, as part of the aftermath, they have reached an agreement with tol2 to terminate his contract and consequently remove him from the starting roster.
