In his statement, Quinn did not hold back, describing the fans as a breed of Dota viewers who idolize specific players. He went on to criticize their behavior during games, claiming they inundate the chat with inane comments.

Quinn’s frustration seemed to stem from the perceived lack of individuality among these fans, viewing them as a homogenous group all praising the players for their gaming skills.

“Man. Topson fans are truly abominable. This breed of Dota viewers that idolizes certain players, Topson fans, Miracle fans, etc, are actually vile. They are so annoying and unbearable,” the Gaimin Gladiators star said.

“Every time said person is in a game, they go to the chat and write the most inane comments and there’s a legion of them. They’re all just the same person, there’s just this wall of clones who idolize someone because they’re good at a video game it’s actually unreal,” he added.

The intensity of Quinn’s words highlights the level of irritation he feels towards these fans. He even expressed a hypothetical desire to ban thousands of them from his chat, emphasizing the extent to which their presence bothers him.

It is clear that Quinn finds their behavior intolerable and believes that their focus on idolizing players solely based on gaming prowess is unrealistic and excessive.

“These people are so intolerable. If I could press a button and ban them all from my chat I would do it immediately. I’d ban thousands of people, Holy Moly they’re so intolerable, it’s ridiculous,” Quinn said.

Naturally, Quinn’s remarks have sparked a wave of reactions within the Dota 2 community. While some fans may empathize with his frustrations regarding disruptive chat behavior, others view his comments as unnecessarily harsh and dismissive.

The diversity of opinions within the community adds to the ongoing discussion surrounding the appropriate way to express fandom and engage with professional players.
