EG’s Demon1 Receives Death Threats Following Win Over NRG

Evil Geniuses Valorant player Max ‘Demon1’ Mazanov has revealed that he received multiple death threats from NRG fans.

The threats came pouring in after EG emerged victorious over NRG in the VCT Americas Playoffs, securing a 2-1 win.

The outcome of the match was considered an upset by many, as EG’s roster is comprised of relatively new faces, while NRG boasted a lineup with experienced veterans from OpTic Gaming.

However, instead of celebrating their triumph, Mazanov found himself on the receiving end of a barrage of hateful messages.

During a livestream, Mazanov expressed his surprise at the vitriol directed toward him.

“I’m not going to lie, I opened my Twitter DM’s and I had so many death threats and hate messages for no reason,” he shared.

Expressing his frustration, Mazanov didn’t hold back.

“Like, what? I didn’t think NRG fans were like that, but lowkey, fuck the NRG fans. What the fuck is wrong with them?” he exclaimed.

Despite the unsettling aftermath, Evil Geniuses remains focused on their journey in the VCT Americas playoff. Following their victory against NRG and Cloud9, they now prepare to face LOUD in the upper bracket final.
