Team Secret Punches Ticket To VCT Pacific League Playoffs

Team Secret defied the odds to qualify for the VALORANT Champions Tour 2023: Pacific League playoffs last Monday.

Two days after handing the league-leading DRX its first loss via a massive sweep, the Filipino squad took out Global Esports, 2-0, to officially punch its ticket to the playoffs.

After falling behind in their map pick, Haven, Team Secret rode the hot hands of Jayvee “DubsteP” Paguirigan and Jeremy “Jremy” Cabrera, who clutched three rounds and even the count at 5-all.

Both squads went back and forth before Team Secret ran away with the win in Round 22.

Team Secret then went on a 4-0 start in the second map before eventually taking a 13-10 win that completed the sweep.

The Adobo Gang ended the regular season with a 5-4 win-loss record that placed them at fifth place.

Team Secret will take on the fourth-ranked Zeta Division in the first round of the playoffs on May 19, Friday. The former lost to the latter, 1-2, during the eliminations.
